I can't believe it's already been almost a week here...it's gone by so fast, and at the same time we've packed in so much. I'll put some pictures up a little later when I have a chance, but so far we've been to this little "suburb" for lack of a better word called Manly; went to Hillsong Church and made some friends on the bus; went to Curl Curl beach and had a blast swimming in the ocean. We've laughed a lot, talked a lot, contemplated what it means to be a servant of Christ, seen a lot of Sydney, went for a couple of runs; had a random night in Chinatown...it's been great!
Something we've noticed that stands out here is the friendliness and unbelievable hospitality of the people here. It makes me wonder what it is about Canadian culture or even just my own heart that keeps me in my own bubble a lot of the time. I think that as followers of Christ we are called to be hospitable - open up our homes, our time and our lives to the people around us...I think I have a lot to learn from the people here. It's going to be a great adventure!

It's so good to hear your comments! I'm sure God has some great things in mind to teach you while you're away from both work and school and have the energy to absorb some new thinking. Australia sounds like a great place. We love you, miss you, and are certainly praying for you!
Good to hear things are going so well and you're getting along with people. That's really interesting to read your comments about Canadian and Australian culture. Ami too said that Canadian culture had less "jung" (warmth and hospitality) than Australian culture. We're looking forward to hearing more about your adventures and we're praying for you too!
Chris
